Hello Interwebs!!
I am a sassy Midwesterner who married the man of her dreams in December 2013. Things were going so well that we decided to add to the craziness of our every day life and bring a little human into our lives. We spent a lifetime looking for one another, so this girl became a first time mom in her LATE 30s. Like, really late 30s. Like, a step away from her 40s-- and my husband is a step away from his 50s. For that reason, my husband and I are happy riders on the "one and done" express train of parenting and we welcomed our daughter on April 12, 2016.
This blog will follow two *slightly* old (you can be slightly old, right? I mean, it isn't an absolute or anything, right?) newbies as we trek haplessly into the world of diapers and spit up. We are starting from zero, y'all, so this is going to be interesting... to say the least. The goal is to have a cute record of our journey into parenthood. By "cute" I do mean absolutely embarrassing to our unborn child, but a great release to us and an outlet for our abundant fears of being adequate parents.
This will not be for the faint of heart. I'm bringing sass and crass back to pregnancy, one blog entry at a time.
